A key part of the gas safety system in BC, the gas codes and standards set the standard for installation, operation, and maintenance of gas systems. Currently, the 2015 editions of the CSA B149 code series and the CSA Z662 are adopted through the Gas Safety Regulation. The BNQ-1784-000 is proposed for adoption.
Unless specified, codes are not retroactive upon adoption and only apply to replacements or new installations.
